This is my last assignment for class. It was fun to play with the colored pencils for a change and try something soft. Kinda fun to try with creating a transparent effect too.

Life and Death Balance Assignment

For this I worked on copier paper with Bic Markers. The requirement was to create a balanced design that represented life on one side of the "truck" and death on the other.

Four Textures in Pen and Ink

I am taking an art class at my nearby community college. It is Two Dimensional Design. So far I have loved it although I have overdone every assignment. I have not posted heretofore because I didn't have the right SD card for my old computer and then I forgot to take a pix before I turned in the work. But today, I finished the pen and ink assignment on textures. It turned out very very nice.

I am now in my 22nd hour. It is interesting that when I started the project I was at a loss about what to draw and now I want to draw so many things. I used to not want to do it and regarded it as a chore. Now it is more of an adventure. I am so interested in patterns. Probably relateded to my earlier work in fabric repair. But they are often so representative of humans. We seem to cover ourselves in them and as such they do represent humanity. I am going to try to post the source photo here.
